My starting point for this project were the colors of vegetable waste. I was intrigued by the fact that we throw away precious colors every day, that are caught in the peels of our vegetables and fruits. We could use these pigments for multiple purposes, and so coloring our homes. The pattern of this table cloth, is derived from a macro image of an onion peel which has been jacquard woven into the fabric.Furthermore, by using silk and cotton in the same fabric, two different experiences of color are introduced, by using the same color bath.
